- The months have a small letter: янва́рь, май. Сейча́с ноя́брь. – no «it is».
- в году́ – in a year (special ending -у́)
- двена́дцать ме́сяцев – after 5–20: -ев
- пе́рвый, второ́й, тре́тий … двена́дцатый – ordinal numbers
- Months have no capital letter in Russian: янва́рь, not «Янва́рь» (only at the start of a sentence).
