The Fox and the Crane
The Fox and the Crane (Лиса́ и жура́вль) is a Russian folk tale. This is our own short retelling for the course «Аэро́бика ру́сского языка́»; the Russian lesson page with the sounds, the actions and the grammar is The Fox and the Crane/Russian.
Here is a house. In the house there is a fox. The fox is Scuffles.
Here is a crane. The crane is Slinky. Slinky's nose – oh-oh-oh! What a big nose!
And Richard is here too – on a chair.
The fox: – Crane, come in! I'm treating you! – With what? – With porridge!
On the table there is a plate. A plate with porridge. The fox treats the crane to porridge.
The fox eats with a spoon. Yum! Yum! Yum!
And the crane eats with his nose. The nose goes into the plate. Bang! Bang! No porridge.
The fox: – That's all! There is no porridge. – The crane: – Oh… Thank you, fox.
The crane: – Fox, come in! Now I'm treating you! – With what? – With fish!
On the table there is a jug. A jug with fish. A jug with a narrow neck.
The crane eats with his nose. The nose goes into the jug. Yum! Yum! Lovely!
And the fox? The spoon into the jug? No! The nose into the jug? No! The neck is narrow!
No fish. The crane ate the fish. The fox – nothing. The fox: – Oh! My fish!
Richard: – Ha-ha! The fox is with porridge, the crane is with fish, and I am with a pen and with a ring!
Scuffles: – No! I want fish! I want fish! – Oh, Scuffles.
Вот дом. В до́ме – лиса́. Лиса́ – э́то Ска́ффлз.
Вот жура́вль. Жура́вль – э́то Сли́нки. У Сли́нки нос – о-о-о! Большо́й нос!
И Ри́чард тут – на сту́ле.
Лиса́: – Жура́вль, в дом! Я угоща́ю! – Чем? – Ка́шей!
На столе́ – таре́лка. Таре́лка с ка́шей. Лиса́ угоща́ет ка́шей.
Лиса́ ест ло́жкой. Ам! Ам! Ам!
А жура́вль ест но́сом. Нос – в таре́лку. Бах! Бах! Нет ка́ши.
Лиса́: – Всё! Ка́ши нет. – Жура́вль: – Ой… Спаси́бо, лиса́.
Жура́вль: – Лиса́, в дом! Тепе́рь я угоща́ю! – Чем? – Ры́бой!
На столе́ – кувши́н. Кувши́н с ры́бой. Кувши́н с у́зким го́рлышком.
Жура́вль ест но́сом. Нос – в кувши́н. Ам! Ам! Хорошо́!
А лиса́? Ло́жка – в кувши́н? Нет! Нос – в кувши́н? Нет! Го́рлышко у́зкое!
Нет ры́бы. Жура́вль ел ры́бу. Лиса́ – нет. Лиса́: – Ой! Моя́ ры́ба!
Ри́чард: – Ха-ха! Лиса́ – с ка́шей, жура́вль – с ры́бой, а я – с ру́чкой и с кольцо́м!
Ска́ффлз: – Нет! Хочу́ ры́бу! Хочу́ ры́бу! – Ой, Ска́ффлз.
