Russian comparative adjectives

Something or someone is more or less than something or someone: кто-то или что-то более чем, менее чем кто-то или что-то.

If the last consonant of the adjective is н, л, р, п, б, м, в add ее:

• быстрый - быстрее (fast - faster)
• трудный - труднее(difficult - more difficult)

otherwise add е:

• большой - больше (big - bigger)
• лёгкий - легче (easy - easier)
• дорогой - дороже (expensive - more expensive)

Remember irregular comparative forms:

• хорошо - лучше (good - better)
• плохо - хуже (bad - worse)
