Russian vocative case
Russian vocative case is a special form of nouns used to identify the object being referred to. It used to call people with names ending with an unstressed vowel -а/-я: мам, дядь, Cаш, Тань. The old original vocative case has been preserved in only a few Russian words: Боже, Господи, отче, старче.
