🌱 The seed of the day: once more – a prefix and its little word go together: до- + до, про- + ми́мо / че́рез, пере- + (че́рез). Learn them as one piece.

- Tell your way to work or to the shop: «Я перехожу́ доро́гу. Я прохожу́ ми́мо… Я дохожу́ до…»

доро́га – only the middle О is loud. The first О is weak and sounds like «а»: «да-ро́-га». (The same rule as положи́ть, День 5.)

- In перехожу́ the Е is weak too: «пири-хажу́». Only the loud syllable is clear.
- 30 seconds, every day. This is aerobics for the tongue.
Tomorrow, two sentences – one «every day», one «today, done»:
«Ка́ждый день я прихожу́ домо́й ве́чером. 🔄 Сего́дня я пришёл / пришла́ ра́но.» (ра́но – early) ✅
That is the first minute of День 22. You already know it – so День 22 starts with a win.
- The road game. Two scarves on the floor are a road. The leader says: «Перехо́дим!» – everybody crosses. «Прохо́дим ми́мо сту́ла!» – everybody walks past the chair. «Дохо́дим до окна́!» – everybody walks to the window and stops. 🚸
- Traffic light. The leader shows 🟥 or 🟩. On 🟩 – «Перехо́дим!», on 🟥 – «Стои́м!» (День 1!).
- Three hands. «Пере-!» an arc · «Про-!» passing by · «До-!» stop at a line. Faster and faster.
It will all be ground – and there will be flour.
Don't worry – it will all work out in the end. пере-: through and through, to the end. 🌾 🤸 Gesture: turn a mill handle round and round… then show flour on your palms and smile.

- пере- = across: переходи́ть доро́гу / че́рез доро́гу
- про- = past, through: проходи́ть ми́мо магази́на, че́рез парк
- до- = as far as: доходи́ть до па́рка (до + «from what» form)
- pf: перейти́ (перешёл), пройти́ (прошёл), дойти́ (дошёл, дошла́)
- «Проходи́те!» – come in (and go through)!
ударе́ние – stress – shows the syllable you say louder and longer, just like in English: LUN-dun (London), TEL-ih-fohn (telephone).
ЛО́НДОН – the stress is on the first syllable, as in English. But Russians say a real, round о: LON-d’n, not LUN-dun. The second о comes after the stress, so it is short and weak (like the a in sofa).
ТЕЛЕФО́Н – not like the English TEL-ih-fohn: the stress is on the last syllable: ti-li-FON (е without stress sounds like a short и). That is why we mark the stress.
🎯 Why does о sound like а?
When Russians invite you in, they often say not «Входи́те!» but «Проходи́те!» – go through, come right in, don't stand at the door! 🚪😊

- Three prefixes, one picture each. Across, past, as far as – each with its own hand movement, so they don't get mixed up: Macedonia · Knösche 2011.
- A real walk. The video follows a real way to the park – the prefixes come in the order you meet them on a walk.
- Prefix + little word. до- with до, про- with ми́мо – one chunk (Ellis 2002, frequency and patterns).
- The cat makes the mistakes. Scuffles «crosses» past a cup. The student laughs and is never the one who is wrong.
