The new topic boxes (28 October 2026). Natalia: "You can change my topics" – and "Yes" to the plan User:ClaudeHelper/Topic plan.

All boxes on one page: Russian word topics.

If something is wrong (a word in the wrong box, a missing word), write it on the talk page or tell Claude in the chat.

What changed

• 24 new topic boxes (Template:Тема/…). Every word has stress; the colour shows он / она́ / оно́ / они́; the word of the page is yellow.
• Your old box names still work: they show the new box and keep their categories.
• 1,901 word pages now show a topic box (before: about 1,630 – many of them with the old long lists).
• 443 word pages were changed: 438 boxes added; 67 old boxes hidden (nobox=1), because the page showed the same box twice or the word belongs to another topic (for example высокий is not in Погода any more – it is in Тело and Размер).
• Checked: 1,906 pages – no page shows the same box twice.

Other fixes

• Page title with an English letter c: «cерёжка» → Category:Russian серёжка.
• Template:Одежда and Template:Города never existed (37 pages had red links) – now they are empty helpers, and the pages show the new box.
• Template:Фильм (copied dictionary text) and Template:Обращение (copied textbook text) now show the boxes «Теа́тр, кино́, му́зыка» and «Приве́т и ве́жливые слова́». The old text is in the page history.

Word family boxes (Natalia: yes, 28 Oct 2026)

The old root lists are now «Семья́ слов · word family» boxes: each word with stress, how it is made, and English; rare words are folded under «➕ Ещё слова́». Used on 117 word pages, all checked.

• Template:Любить – «люб» · Template:Искать – «иск» · Template:Знать – «зна» · Template:Ум – «ум» · Template:Мысль – «мысл» · Template:Петь – «пе / по» · Template:Нож – «нож»
• Template:Боль – two boxes: «бол» and «здоров / здрав» (with the note: здоро́вый, де́рево, дрова́, дре́вний are very old relatives)
• Template:Размер – two boxes: «мал» and «больш / бол» (note: ме́ньше, ме́нее come from another old root)
• Not changed: Template:Всецело (весь / целый) and Template:Правый (правый / левый) – they are explanations, not word lists.

• New pages: рад · извините · простите (in the boxes «Хара́ктер и чу́вства» and «Приве́т и ве́жливые слова́»).
• вещь · штука · штучка · дырка · дырочка – a new group «Ве́щи · things» in the box «Оде́жда» (вещи also means clothes and belongings: «мои́ ве́щи»).
• Small words that had no explanation at all: спасибо · пожалуйста · нет · конечно · только · совсем · разве · же · угу · кис-кис – now with an easy explanation in Russian and English, examples and stress. Natalia's own examples kept («Я то́лько Ма́йя!», «Кис-кис-кис, Серж! Иди́ сюда́!»).
