📚 Слова́ дня · Words of the day: 3 – ка́ждый, всегда́, раз.
🗣️ Глаго́л дня · Verb of the day: гото́вить – пригото́вить · «Ка́ждый день я гото́влю 〰️ · Сего́дня Ри́чард пригото́вил! ✅»

Stand up! Your homework from День 29, with a pen: «Сейча́с я пишу́…» 👇 – arm forward: «За́втра я напишу́!» 👉✅
You remembered it – that is your first win today. Now into the kitchen – who cooks every day? 🍳
- Don't read anything yet. Listen: who cooks every day? Who cooked today? 👂
- Circle with your finger 🔁 on ка́ждый день – one finger up ☝️ on оди́н раз.
Say every word aloud and show it – the gesture is next to the word. Tap a word or its picture – the dictionary opens. 🔊 = listen.
- 🔁 ка́ждый день – every day: draw circles with your finger, again and again. (picture coming)
- ♾️ всегда́ – always: arms wide open, it never ends.
- ☝️ оди́н раз – one time, once: one finger up. два ра́за, пять раз – like «пять огурцо́в» (День 9)!
- The rule of the hands: 🔁 ♾️ go with the impf 〰️ (гото́влю, ем) · ☝️ goes with the pf ✅ (пригото́вил, съел).
👂 Listen first. Circle 🔁 on «ка́ждый день», arms wide ♾️ on «всегда́», one finger ☝️ on «оди́н раз».
Сли́нки (asleep on a chair): … – Ната́ша: А Сли́нки всегда́ спит. 😴
🌱 The seed of the day: ка́ждый день, всегда́ 〰️ → the impf · оди́н раз ✅ → the pf. The words around the verb tell you which brother to take.
Say every line aloud – with the hands. 🔁 ♾️ ☝️
Ка́ждый день я гото́влю обе́д. 🔁
Ри́чард всегда́ мо́ет посу́ду. ♾️
Сего́дня Ри́чард пригото́вил обе́д – оди́н раз! ☝️✅
Ка́ждый день я ем сыр. 🔁 – Вчера́ я съел(а) весь сыр! ✅
Сли́нки всегда́ спит. 😴
- Take a cup: «Ка́ждый день я пью ко́фе.» 🔁 – and one thing you did today: «Сего́дня я прочита́л(а) …» ☝️✅
- Say what you always do: «Я всегда́ …» ♾️
- Ask someone: «Что ты де́лаешь ка́ждый день?»
- Speaking is optional – listening and doing count too.
Can you say it without looking? – Молоде́ц! Go to the tap quiz.
Guess, then tap. Every day 🔁 or once ☝️? A wrong tap is a guess. 😊
Хорошо́! Молоде́ц! Two small things left – two minutes.
в before с sounds like ф: всегда́ = «фсегда́», всё = «фсё». (Like сде́лал = «зде́лал», День 26 – the other way round!)
- Loud at the end: фсегДА́ 👏
- ка́ждый – жд together: КА́-ждый 👏
- 30 seconds, every day.
Tomorrow, with the hands: «Ка́ждый день я …» 🔁 – «Сего́дня я …!» ☝️✅ (one thing you did once).
That is the first minute of День 31. You already know it – so День 31 starts with a win.
You may stop here – see you tomorrow: День 31 · Скажи́те! Говори́те! ▶
- Circle or finger? Somebody says «ка́ждый день!» → everybody draws circles 🔁 · «оди́н раз!» → one finger up ☝️ · «всегда́!» → arms wide ♾️.
- Kitchen life. Mime a job in the kitchen – the others guess: «Ты гото́вишь!» – «Ты мо́ешь посу́ду!» – then stop: «Пригото́вил(а)!» ✅
- Count the times. Clap and count: «оди́н раз, два ра́за, три ра́за… пять раз!» 👏

🙌 Today's words: КА́ЖДЫЙ · ВСЕГДА́ · РАЗ
Ка́ждый день Ната́ша гото́вит обе́д. 🔁
Ри́чард всегда́ мо́ет посу́ду. ♾️
А сего́дня Ри́чард пригото́вил обе́д! ☝️
Ка́ждый день Ска́ффлз ест сыр. Сли́нки всегда́ спит. 😴
всегда́ ↔ никогда́ – never 🚫 · гото́вить → гото́во! – ready! done! ✅
Just look and smile – you don't have to learn these now. 😊
Ка́ждый день я гото́влю обе́д. – А я всегда́ мо́ю посу́ду. А сего́дня я пригото́вил обе́д! Оди́н раз! – Ура́! Молоде́ц! – Ка́ждый день я съе́ла сыр! – Нет, Ска́ффлз! Ка́ждый день ты ешь сыр. А вчера́ ты съе́ла весь сыр! – Р-р-р… Ка́ждый день я ем сыр! – А Сли́нки всегда́ спит.
Every day I cook lunch. – And I always wash up. But today I've cooked lunch! Once! – Hooray! Well done! – Every day I ate up the cheese! (Scuffles's mistake) – No, Scuffles! Every day you eat cheese. And yesterday you ate up all the cheese! – Grrr… Every day I eat cheese! – And Slinky always sleeps.
- ка́ждый день, всегда́, ча́сто (often) → impf 〰️: гото́влю, ем, чита́ю.
- оди́н раз, сего́дня – one result → pf ✅: пригото́вил, съел, прочита́л.
- гото́вить: гото́влю, гото́вишь… (в → вл for «я»).
- 1 раз · 2 ра́за · 5 раз – like огуре́ц (День 9).
ЛО́НДОН – the stress is on the first syllable, as in English. But Russians say a real, round о: LON-d’n, not LUN-dun. The second о comes after the stress, so it is short and weak (like the a in sofa).
ТЕЛЕФО́Н – not like the English TEL-ih-fohn: the stress is on the last syllable: ti-li-FON (е without stress sounds like a short и). That is why we mark the stress.
🎯 Why does о sound like а?
English «used to» and «would» (I used to cook every day) are impf in Russian: гото́вил(а). And «I cooked it (once)» is пригото́вил(а). One verb in English – two brothers in Russian. 😄
Гото́во! – what Russians say when the dinner, the work or anything is ready. ✅
🔬 Почему́ так · Why this way
- Words that choose the brother. ка́ждый день, всегда́ and оди́н раз are signals – a simple, visible clue for choosing the brother, easier to use than an abstract rule.
- Real life. Cooking and washing up are things everybody does – one of the five promises of Курс 2.
- Three lessons from the house. The lesson boxes give the kitchen words for today's sentences.
- The cat makes the mistakes. The student laughs and is never the one who is wrong.
