День 19 из 40: Пришла́! Ушла́!
📚 Слова́ дня · Words of the day: 3 – приходи́ть, уходи́ть, дом. (Chunks: пришёл / пришла́, ушёл / ушла́.)
🗣️ Глаго́лы дня · Verbs of the day: приходи́ть – to come · уходи́ть – to go away · ✅ пришёл / пришла́ · ушёл / ушла́
⏱ Part 1 = 15 minutes – everybody finishes it. Part 2 = more, only if you want. · 🗺️ All days
Your homework from День 18: when somebody came home or went out, you said «Пришёл! / Пришла́!» – «Ушёл! / Ушла́!» 👋 – and «Я выхожу́ из до́ма.»
You remembered it – that is your first win today. ✅
- Tap and listen. Your hand comes towards you – «пришла́!» – a wave, the hand goes away – «ушла́!»
- при- – here, to us · у- – away, from here.
Say every word aloud and show it – the gesture is under the picture. Tap a word or its picture – the dictionary opens.
👂 Listen first. Hand towards you on при-, a wave on у-.
- Ри́чард: Я пришёл! 📒 – Ната́ша: Ри́чард пришёл! 🫴
- Ната́ша: Сли́нки пришла́! 🐈 –
Сли́нки: Мя́у!
- Ната́ша: Ка́ждый ве́чер Ри́чард прихо́дит домо́й. У́тром он ухо́дит на рабо́ту. 👋
Ска́ффлз: (walking out of the room, tail up) Я пришла́!
- Ната́ша: Нет, Ска́ффлз! Ты не пришла́ – ты ушла́! 👋
Ска́ффлз: (coming back at once) Я ушла́… и пришла́! 😼
🌱 The seed of the day: past of при- and у- with идти́: пришёл, ушёл – the шёл of День 15 inside! And the colours: пришёл · пришла́ · пришли́.
Say every line aloud: 🫴 при- · 👋 у-.
Я пришёл! / Я пришла́! 🫴
Я ушёл. / Я ушла́. 👋
Ка́ждый ве́чер я прихожу́ домо́й. 🏠
Ка́ждое у́тро я ухожу́ на рабо́ту.
Ска́ффлз ушла́… и пришла́! 😼
- When you come home: «Я пришёл! / Я пришла́!» 🏠
- When you go: «Я ухожу́. Пока́!» 👋
- Tell about your day: «У́тром я ухожу́ на рабо́ту. Ве́чером я прихожу́ домо́й.»
- Speaking is optional – listening and doing count too.
Can you say it without looking? – Молоде́ц! Go to the tap quiz.
Guess, then tap. Here (🫴) or away (👋)? He or she? 😊
Хорошо́! Молоде́ц! Two small things left – two minutes.
при- – Р before И is soft: the tip of the tongue taps, the middle of the tongue is high, a little smile. 😊 (Hard Р in ро́бот – Курс 2.)
- Say: ра – ри · ро – ри. Then при – при́-шла – при-хо́-дит.
- The same soft Р in три and Ри́чард.
- 30 seconds, every day. This is aerobics for the tongue.
Tomorrow, walk with two fingers on the table: up to your cup – and away from it. Tomorrow's prefixes are под- (up to) and от- (away from). ☕👆 And when you come home: «Я пришёл! / Пришла́!»
That is the first minute of День 20. You already know it – so День 20 starts with a win.
- Come and go. One person goes out of the room and comes back. The others: «Ушёл! / Ушла́!» 👋 – «Пришёл! / Пришла́!» 🫴
- Hand game. «При-!» – the hand comes to your chest · «У-!» – a wave away. The one who mixes them up says «Я ушла́… и пришла́!» 😄
- Every day. Each person says when they leave and come home: «Я ухожу́ у́тром. Я прихожу́ ве́чером.»
When trouble comes, open the gates.
One trouble brings others with it – like «Беда́ одна́ не хо́дит» (День 10). пришла́ – today's verb! 🤸 Gesture: hand comes to your chest on «пришла́», open two big gates with both arms.
Read every line aloud, slowly. Every word is one you know. Tap a word to check. ✋
🙌 Today's words: ПРИХОДИ́ТЬ · УХОДИ́ТЬ · ДОМ
У́тром Ри́чард ухо́дит на рабо́ту.
Ве́чером он прихо́дит домо́й: «Я пришёл!»
Сли́нки пришла́. Ска́ффлз ушла́… и пришла́! 😼
А вы? Когда́ вы прихо́дите домо́й?
Приходи́те! – come (to visit)! · уходи́ть – ухо́д – leaving
Just look and smile – you don't have to learn these now. 😊
Я пришёл! – Ри́чард пришёл! Сли́нки пришла́! – Мя́у! – Ка́ждый ве́чер Ри́чард прихо́дит домо́й. У́тром он ухо́дит на рабо́ту. – Я пришла́! – Нет, Ска́ффлз! Ты не пришла́ – ты ушла́! – Я ушла́… и пришла́!
I'm home! – Richard has come home! Slinky has come in! – Miaow! – Every evening Richard comes home. In the morning he leaves for work. – I've come! (Scuffles's mistake – she is walking away) – No, Scuffles! You haven't come – you've left! – I've left… and come back!
- при- = here, to us: приходи́ть (я прихожу́, ты прихо́дишь) · pf прийти́: пришёл, пришла́, пришли́
- у- = away: уходи́ть (я ухожу́, ты ухо́дишь) · pf уйти́: ушёл, ушла́, ушли́
- «Я пришёл!» – I'm home! · «Я ухожу́» – I'm leaving.
ЛО́НДОН – the stress is on the first syllable, as in English. But Russians say a real, round о: LON-d’n, not LUN-dun. The second о comes after the stress, so it is short and weak (like the a in sofa).
ТЕЛЕФО́Н – not like the English TEL-ih-fohn: the stress is on the last syllable: ti-li-FON (е without stress sounds like a short и). That is why we mark the stress.
🎯 Why does о sound like а?
English «I'm home!» – Russian «Я пришёл! / Я пришла́!» – literally «I have come!». 🏠 And Russians say goodbye with «Я пошёл / пошла́!» (День 15) or «Я ухожу́!». 👋
🔬 Почему́ так · Why this way
- Two opposites together. при- / у- are learned as a pair of opposites – the meaning of one makes the other clear.
- Known pieces inside. пришёл, ушёл – the шёл of День 15 inside a new word.
- Hands for directions. Towards you / away from you: Macedonia · Knösche 2011.
- The cat makes the mistakes. Scuffles «has come» while walking away. The student laughs and is never the one who is wrong.
