День 13 из 24: Аэро́бика на ва́шем языке́
📚 Слова́ дня · Words of the day: 4 – язы́к, страна́, перево́д, иностра́нный.
🗣️ Глаго́л дня · Verb of the day: говори́ть – я говорю́, вы говори́те → На каки́х языка́х вы говори́те? · Which languages do you speak?
⏱ Часть 1 = 15 мину́т – её конча́ют все. Часть 2 – е́сли хоти́те. · Part 1 = 15 minutes – everybody finishes it. Part 2 = more, only if you want. · 🗺️ Все дни · All days
Вста́ньте! Дома́шняя рабо́та из Дня 12: · your homework from День 12: «Я говорю́ по-ру́сски и по-…» – and your language. 🌍 Now count your languages on your fingers, like yesterday: «Оди́н язы́к, два языка́…» ✋
Вы э́то уже́ уме́ете – э́то ва́ша пе́рвая побе́да сего́дня. ✅ · You can already do it – your first win today.
- Не чита́йте пока́ – слу́шайте. · Don’t read yet – listen. Which languages does Natasha name? Count them on your fingers ✋ – six!
- Say «thank you» in every language with Natasha – and bow a little. 🙏
Скажи́те ка́ждое сло́во вслух и покажи́те его́. · Say every word aloud and show it – the gesture is under it. Tap a word – listen.
Язы́к – a tongue and a language: you speak with your tongue. 👅 Albanian and Arabic have no picture card yet – their pages are in Part 2.
👂 Снача́ла слу́шайте. · Listen first. Point at your mouth every time somebody says «по-…»: 🗣️
Two ways – 30 seconds

Я говорю́ по-ру́сски = Я говорю́ на ру́сском языке́. Never «на ру́сский»! And Slinky: по-коша́чьи 😹
🌱 The seed of the day: one method – many languages. The movement stays the same; only the words change. Our helpers made Natasha's aerobics pages in six languages – the student became the teacher.
Скажи́те ка́ждую строку́ вслух – и сде́лайте. · Say every line aloud – and do it.
Я говорю́ по-ру́сски. 🗣️
На како́м языке́ вы говори́те? 🤔
Как э́то по-неме́цки? – Danke! 🙏
Оди́н язы́к, два языка́, пять языко́в! ✋
Одна́ аэро́бика – мно́го языко́в. 🌍
- Say «thank you» in every language you know – then in Russian: «Спаси́бо!» 🙏
- Ask: «На каки́х языка́х вы говори́те?» – «По-ру́сски и по-…»
- Count your languages on your fingers: «оди́н язы́к, два языка́…» ✋
- Говори́ть – не обяза́тельно. · Speaking is optional – listening and doing count too.
Мо́жете без ви́део? · Can you do it without the video? – Молоде́ц! ✔
Угада́йте – пото́м нажми́те. · Guess, then tap. A wrong tap is not a mistake – it is a guess. 😊
Хорошо́! Молоде́ц! · Two small things left – two minutes.
- ФРАНЦУ́ЗСКИЙ – З before С sounds like С: «францу́ский». And ру́сский – two С, one long «сс». · ЗС звучи́т как С.
- ЯЗЫ́К – the first Я has no stress, so it is short: «и-зы́к». The stress runs to the end: я-зы-КА́, я-зы-КО́В.
- Clap on the loud syllable: по-не-МЕ́Ц-ки 👏 · по-фран-ЦУ́З-ски 👏. 30 секу́нд ка́ждый день. · 30 seconds every day.
Вы́берите одно́ сло́во на ва́шем языке́ – его́ вы за́втра нау́чите с же́стом. Скажи́те его́ вслух, гро́мче на уда́рном сло́ге. · Choose one word in your language – tomorrow you teach it with a gesture. Say it aloud, louder on the stressed syllable.
Э́то пе́рвая мину́та Дня 14. · That is the first minute of День 14 – so it starts with a win.
Мо́жно зако́нчить здесь – до за́втра! · You may stop here – see you tomorrow: День 14 · Жест для сло́ва ▶
- Спаси́бо по-… One says «thank you» in a language – the others say which: «Grazie!» – «По-италья́нски!» 🙏
- На како́м языке́? Everyone says one sentence in a language he knows – the others ask «На како́м языке́ ты говори́шь?» and guess.
- Аэро́бика без слов. Do one movement from День 9–12 with no words – the others say it in Russian: «Ру́чка в руке́!» «На одно́й ноге́!» 🤸
Remembering a word with the whole body works better than reading it again.
The world is not without kind people.
Our helpers translated Natasha's aerobics into their languages: Bolschoi (German), Rossella Zanini (Italian), Leticia Gil (Spanish), BonifaceFR (French), Edlira Dushku (Albanian) – and the Arabic page. Спаси́бо! 🤸 Gesture: open your arms to the world. 🌍

- Одна́ аэро́бика – мно́го языко́в. · One aerobics, many languages. The pen, the feet, the ring – the same everywhere. Only the words change.
- Одна́ карти́нка, оди́н жест – везде́. · One picture, one gesture – everywhere. Use the same picture and the same gesture for a word in every language – the rule of our site.
- Пусть носи́тель языка́ прове́рит. · Let a native speaker check. Natasha's advice on Ру́ки 2: check your pronunciation with a native speaker.
- 🌍 На ва́шем языке́: open the page in your language. Is your language not there? Translate the first exercise of Ру́ки 1 – five lines – on paper. On День 23 it becomes a page.
Прочита́йте ка́ждую строку́ вслух, ме́дленно. · Read every line aloud, slowly. Tap a word to check. ✋
🌍 Today's words: ЯЗЫ́К · СТРАНА́ · ПЕРЕВО́Д · ИНОСТРА́ННЫЙ
Я говорю́ по-ру́сски.
На како́м языке́ вы говори́те?
Аэро́бика есть по-неме́цки, по-италья́нски и по-испа́нски.
Ска́ффлз говори́т: «на ру́сский» – нет, по-ру́сски! 😼
А Сли́нки говори́т по-коша́чьи. 😹
перево́д – a translation · переводи́ть – to translate: «to lead across» · перево́дчик – a translator
Just look and smile – you don't have to learn these now. 😊
Ска́ффлз, смотри́: на́ша аэро́бика – по-неме́цки, по-италья́нски, по-испа́нски! – А я говорю́ на ру́сский! – По-ру́сски, Ска́ффлз. И́ли: на ру́сском языке́. – А я говорю́ по-англи́йски. – Мя́у! – А Сли́нки говори́т по-коша́чьи! – Пра́вильно! Одна́ аэро́бика – мно́го языко́в. Да́же коша́чий!
Scuffles, look: our aerobics – in German, in Italian, in Spanish! – And I speak «на ру́сский»! (Scuffles's mistake) – «По-ру́сски», Scuffles – in Russian. Or: «на ру́сском языке́». – And I speak English. – Miaow! – And Slinky speaks Cat! – Right! One aerobics – many languages. Even Cat!
- Я говорю́ по-ру́сски = на ру́сском языке́ [●]
- На како́м языке́? – на неме́цком, на италья́нском, на испа́нском…
- оди́н язы́к · два языка́ · пять языко́в (День 12)
- Never «на ру́сский» – that is Scuffles's mistake. 😼
ЛО́НДОН – the stress is on the first syllable, as in English. But Russians say a real, round о: LON-d’n, not LUN-dun. The second о comes after the stress, so it is short and weak (like the a in sofa).
ТЕЛЕФО́Н – not like the English TEL-ih-fohn: the stress is on the last syllable: ti-li-FON (е without stress sounds like a short и). That is why we mark the stress.
🎯 Why does о sound like а?
English: «I speak Russian». Russian: по-ру́сски – «in the Russian way». So anything can be «по-…»: по-ру́сски, по-англи́йски… and Slinky speaks по-коша́чьи – the cat way. 😹
🔬 Почему́ так · Why this way
- Your first language helps. What you know in one language helps in the next – skills and ideas carry over: Cummins 1979, the interdependence hypothesis.
- Gesture and speech are one system. People in every culture move their hands while they speak; the gesture is part of the language: McNeill 1992, «Hand and Mind».
- Who teaches, learns. Expecting to teach makes you learn better: Nestojko et al. 2014. That is why, in Курс 5, the student becomes the teacher.
- The cat makes the mistake. Scuffles says «на ру́сский» – the student laughs and is never the one who is wrong.
