🌱 The seed of the day: сади́ться – I sit myself down (-ся = myself) · сажа́ть – I sit somebody else down. Scuffles mixed them up.

- Tell the start of the tale: «Посади́л дед ре́пку.»

дед – at the end of a word Д sounds like т: «дет». The voice goes off. 🤫
- Say: дед – «дет» · сад – «сат» · снег – «снек».
- But in the middle it is a real Д: де́-душ-ка, са-ди́-тесь.
- 30 seconds, every day. This is aerobics for the tongue.

- Myself or somebody? One person says a verb – the others show 🙋 (hand on chest) or ✋ (hand forward): «сади́ться» 🙋 · «сажа́ть» ✋ · «ложи́ться» 🙋 · «класть» ✋ · «встава́ть» 🙋 · «ста́вить» ✋.
- The turnip game. One person is the turnip and «sits» on the floor. Grandad: «Посади́л дед ре́пку!» Then everybody pulls: «Тя́нут-потя́нут…» (Курс 2, День 25) 😄
- State in the end. Do any movement – the others say where you are now: «Он сиди́т!» «Она́ лежи́т!» «Он стои́т!»

- ★ Eight threes: 🙋 myself (-ся / лечь, встать) and ✋ a thing or somebody – and four states: лежа́ть, сиде́ть, стоя́ть, висе́ть.
- -ся = myself: сади́ться (I sit myself) ↔ сажа́ть (I seat somebody).
ударе́ние – stress – shows the syllable you say louder and longer, just like in English: LUN-dun (London), TEL-ih-fohn (telephone).
ЛО́НДОН – the stress is on the first syllable, as in English. But Russians say a real, round о: LON-d’n, not LUN-dun. The second о comes after the stress, so it is short and weak (like the a in sofa).
ТЕЛЕФО́Н – not like the English TEL-ih-fohn: the stress is on the last syllable: ti-li-FON (е without stress sounds like a short и). That is why we mark the stress.
🎯 Why does о sound like а?
In English you sit down and you seat a guest – and you plant a tree. Russian uses one word for seating and planting: сажа́ть. A plant is «seated» in the earth – and the garden is сад! 🌳
🔬 Почему́ так · Why this way
- The rule after a week of examples. Five threes were met and done with the body (День 3–7) before the ★ table of all eight – rule after experience, the method of Курс 1 and 2.
- One table, Natasha's. The eight threes in one picture are Natalia Brown's own logic; English has no such system, so the system is shown, not a list of verbs.
- A known story. «Посади́л дед ре́пку» was heard in Курс 2 as a chunk; now its verb gets its place in the system.
- The cat makes the mistakes. Scuffles «sits herself Slinky» and plants cheese. The student laughs and is never the one who is wrong.
